After serving our nation’s most consequential missions for almost 15 years, The Amatriot Group (formerly Government Tactical Solutions) was derived from our core values of supporting our country and the warfighter. Amatriot was founded over a decade ago by a Marine Veteran to support the defense and intelligence industries. Now, the Amatriot team brings this experience to all our partners in the federal and commercial sectors, treating every endeavor with the same standards required for the most secure IT environments.
Amatriot operates across 17 states and OCONUS locations supporting government and commercial partners. Senior Leadership
Paul Sanchez
Chief Executive Officer & President
Paul began his career as a United States Marine Corps Infantry Officer. He earned his BA from The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) and his MBA from the University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!). Paul and his original partner co-founded Government Tactical Solutions in 2009. In 2011, Paul went to work as the company’s first employee, working as a consultant by day and building/ managing the company during personal time. He will say that the first four years of getting Amatriot off the ground were difficult and lonely. All that changed in 2015 when Paul partnered with his longtime professional confidant and friend, Luke Howe. Together, Luke and Paul took Amatriot’s successes to the next level by establishing a core team that focuses on the day-to-day operations of the company. With this amazing support team in place, Paul is able to concentrate on his duties and obligations as CEO.
Luke Howe
Chief Operating Officer
Luke began his career at General Electric, but he quickly realized he wanted to dedicate his efforts to creating a business of his own. Luke left GE and moved to D.C. where he met Paul Sanchez through their volunteer efforts with AFCEA. With similar goals in mind, Paul and Luke quickly discovered that building a business is way more fun when you do it with a partner and friend. Luke has helped lead the efforts that have grown Amatriot by over 400% to date. Luke dedicates each day to improving company operations, driving growth, and working with the Amatriot team on company strategy as well as ways to better the business for its employees and customers.
Mark Carnahan
Chief Technology Officer
Mark brings two decades of experience in the information technology industry. As CTO, Mark works to strengthen the company’s technical offerings, ensuring that Amatriot is well-positioned to anticipate customers’ technical needs and provide the experience and expertise in emerging technologies required to solve the mission-critical challenges they face. He is an “out-of-the-box” problem solver and industry-leading expert in a variety of technical disciplines, specializing in network security, non-traditional networking, and infrastructure automation. He is a graduate of Mary Washington College (now the University of Mary Washington) with a degree in business and holds multiple technical certifications.
Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, coaching a variety of sports teams, and the occasional DIY project. When not out and about, Mark can usually be found in his workshop tinkering with his latest project, usually something made out of wood.
Kelli Sotolongo
Senior Vice President of Operations
Kelli brings over a decade of experience in government consulting and serves as a creative lead on our team. She consistently delivers innovative ideas and strategic solutions tailored to the unique needs of each client. Known for her ability to identify and implement effective operational enhancements, Kelli thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Her adaptability, forward-thinking mindset, and commitment to excellence make her an invaluable leader in Amatriot’s success.
Outside of work, Kelli enjoys spending time with her family in the garden, experimenting with new recipes, and—by marital obligation—cheering on Navy. Go Navy, Beat Army!
Megan Hartman
Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications
Megan specializes in developing and executing strategic marketing and communications initiatives that support organizational growth and brand visibility. With a strong marketing foundation, she previously worked with a variety of small businesses at a Washington, D.C.–area marketing and PR agency, helping clients refine messaging and expand their reach.
At Amatriot, Megan leads both external and internal communications efforts, ensuring alignment across marketing, brand, and team engagement initiatives. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Outside of work, Megan is an avid Iowa fan (Go Hawks!) and enjoys traveling and cooking in her free time.
